Baker is a vibrant and diverse community filled with character in a great central location. This area is known for its older charming homes, with many built in the 1800s. In 2000, Baker received a Historic District designation as part of the historic preservation effort of the city of Denver. The designation was awarded due to historical figures living in the neighborhood, and several buildings designed by prominent architects between 1873 and 1937. With South Broadway being just steps away, there is great access to tons of eateries, shops, parks and bars. Baker is a super accessible area, and is ranked the 5th most walkable neighborhood in Denver. There are two access points to jump on the light rail as well.
