LoHi

Just northwest of downtown via the Millenium Bridge sits LoHi (or Lower Highlands) and the larger more established “Highlands” neighborhood.

As a neighborhood, LoHi has undergone a dramatic transformation over the past 10+ years.  In fact, LoHi wasn’t even known as LoHi until the last decade or so.  With it’s location just opposite and close proximity to Downtown developers saw an opportunity to transform the area into a dynamic live/work/play neighborhood.  Seemingly overnight a plethora of hip restaurants, bars and retail stores popped up.  Plus, changes to zoning guidelines allowing for multi-family development paving the way for several high end apartment rental buildings and rowhome developments.

The area offers stunning views of Downtown Denver and has little competition for charm, character and urban livability.  Characterized by an architecturally diverse mix of Queen Ann Victorians, bungalows, Denver Squares, ranches, Tudors and new, modern single family homes, duplexes and urban lofts there truly is something for everyone.  Tucked on the residential corners and in the neighborhood hubs of Tennyson Street and Highland Square you’ll find a variety of boutique shops, award winning restaurants, book stores, theaters, galleries, coffee shops and so much more.

LOHI and the Highlands are bounded by Sheridan, 38th Avenue, Zuni, 23rd Ave and Lowell.
