This is another neighborhood that has undergone a rebirth during the last 10 years. Like Sloans Lake, Berkeley has ample Park and Lake acreage. What makes this neighborhood different is there are actually 2 lakes and parks: Rocky Mountain Lake Park and Berkeley Lake Park. Berkeley Lake Park also has a dog park in addition to walking trails, kids play equipment and picnic spaces.
In addition, Berkeley boasts one of the larger retail/business districts compared to other Denver neighborhoods. The district stretches on Tennyson Street from 38th Avenue to 46th Avenue. You'll find some amazing restaurants and shops all along Tennyson Street. Be sure to check out the First Friday Art/Culture walk, taking place on the First Friday of every month! There are dozens of Art galleries and shops open to the public - it's a fun event with friends or family!
The neighborhood is characterized by Craftsman bungalows, Victorians, Tudors and new construction Single Family and Multi Family Duplex, Tri-Plex and Rowhomes.
Berkeley is bordered by 38th Avenue on the South (also the north border of West Highlands), Sheridan Boulevard on the West, Interstate 70 on the North and Federal Boulevard on the East.
